List of Recommended
Certification Titles

My suggestion is not to waste your time becoming cetified as anything but one of the following titles:

Why Would I Suggest This?

It's very simple. When non-licensed professionals have a problem with a licensing board, these are the titles the boards accept for certification. The boards tend to like coaches and teachers.

In my experience you absolutely must avoid any titles like (where _____ is anything having to do with health, wellness or nutrition) because licensing boards don't like these titles:

In the near future I believe some boards will start rejecting Certified Experts and Specialists as well. So far no boards have rejected these titles but it's obvious they really prefer coaches and instructors.

Buyer Beware

In my experience, certification is one area where the buyer needs to beware. The paper mills hide behind fancy names and lists of fake requirements and tests. When you receive your certification, you receive a piece of worthless paper. For a list of accredited, accepted and independent certification boards, I suggest you visit the Natural Therapies Coach Workshops Network and the Federation of Spiritual Healer License Boards.

For a list of certification boards accepted by the insurance industry for the lowest professional insurnace rates see the Natural Therapies Association of North America.

The worst thing you can do is get certified by a board controlled by your teachers and instructors -- especially when that education organization is controlled by a manufacturer or distibutor. Avoid all these organizations.
